Site Alteration Permit Information

Depending on the type of works you are proposing on your property, you may require a Site Alteration Permit to ensure that you, your neighbours or the environment are not adversely affected.

Site Alteration Permits are administered by the Building and By-laws Department to ensure that the works on the private property will not result in:

In order to obtain a Site Alteration Permit you must submit a complete application attached in Schedule "A" of By-law 2009-052 accompanied by a detailed plan complying with the requirements set out in Schedule "B" and pay a fee in accordance with Schedule "C"of By-law 2009- 052.

Requirements for Permit Application Submission:

By-law No. 2009-052 requires that a permit be obtained for site alterations, as defined therein.  A site plan is required to support such an application by the land owner and by-law stipulates the information to be contained thereon.
