The Clerk is the Division Registrar under the Vital Statistic Act.  All deaths which occur within the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury must be registered with the Division Registrar.

Applications for birth certificates may be obtained at the Town Administration Centre or online from the Office of the Registrar General. Applications may be mailed to the Office of the Registrar General.

Fees for Birth Certificates are as follows:

Newborn Registration Service

Effective Monday, July 27, 2009 the fully electronic Newborn Registration Service will be available across the Province of Ontario. The convenient, online service is a joint project between ServiceOntario and Service Canada, and is a quicker, easier way for parents to register the birth of their baby and obtain essential identity documents for their newborns.

Once the fully electronic Newborn Registration Service has been made available across the province, all Ontario birthing hospitals and midwife practice groups will be able to submit the Notice of Live Birth form electronically to ServiceOntario’s Office of the Registrar General (ORG). As a result, Bradford West Gwillimbury will no longer be involved in the live birth registration process after July 27, 2009. Medical professionals attending births will be expected to submit birth registration documents directly to the ORG.

Clerk’s Department staff will continue to register births that take place within the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before Monday, July 27, 2009. Any live birth information for events occurring within Bradford West Gwillimbury after July 27th will be forwarded directly to the Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay.
